General Terms and Conditions of Big C Gift Card Services
These General Terms and Conditions for the provision of services relating to the “Big C Gift Card” (hereinafter referred to as “T&C”), are the electronic cash card services under the management by C Payment Solution Company Limited (“CPS”), who has received a registration certificate for providing electronic money services under the Payment Systems Act B.E. 2560 (2017) from the Bank of Thailand. In the form of a service representative of Big C Supercenter Public Company Limited ( hereinafter referred to as “Big C” ), in order to allow its customers to purchase merchandise, services or other miscellaneous items in lieu of paper money, to facilitate and integrate customers’ payment process ( hereinafter referred to as “Users” ). These T&C shall be regarded in legal terms as a legally binding contract between “Big C”, as one contracting party, and the “Users”, as the other contracting party. Users should carefully read and make all efforts to understand the Big C Gift Card T&C in a cautious manner, due to these T&C which may result in a manner that might affect the right of Users. If Users have any inquiries concerning Big C or the T&C, Users may contact Big C Call Center 1756.
- 1.1 Users agree to comply with and be bound by Big C’s T&C and its terms of service. By using Big C’s Gift Card, it shall be deemed that Users accept these T&C in all aspects. Nonetheless, Users acknowledge that Big C may amend or add any terms of service without giving prior notice to the Users. By continuing to use Big C’s Gift Card after such amendment or addendum, it shall be deemed that Users accept the said amendment or addendum accordingly.
- 1.2 Our Terms of Service and Use, which may be added, improved or amended intermittently, shall be deemed to be governed by these T&C, unless otherwise informed or determined by Big C.
- 1.3 Users accept that Big C shall have the right to permanently or temporarily improve or terminate the provision of services relating to the Big C Gift Card, whether in whole or in part, at any time, without giving prior notice to the Users.
- 2.1 Unless otherwise specifically defined in these T&C, the words expressed below shall have the following meanings:“Big C” shall mean Big C Supercenter Public Company Limited
- 2.2 “Users” shall mean all customers who have agreed to use Big C’s Gift Card services and have successfully registered in accordance with the procedure and criteria as prescribed by Big C.
- 2.3 “Big C Gift Card” shall mean electronic cash card issued by Big C to Users which allows Users to purchase Big C merchandise or services using their Big C Gift Card, in lieu of cash. Users are required to transfer money in advance into Users’ Big C Gift Cards, which in turn will be recorded by Big C ( cash stored value ) for each successive transaction.
- 2.4 “Products or Services” shall mean all Big C merchandise, products or services available for purchase at Big C Hypermarket, Mini Big C and Pure Pharmacy stores according to the terms and conditions as determined by Big C, and does not cover merchandise or services belonging to Big C’s tenants or from businesses or shops surrounding Big C premises.
- Big C Gift Card is an electronic cash card services in which Users must make payment to top-up money in advance into users’ individual Gift Cards; Big C therefore requires all Users to register their personal details prior to receiving or using Big C Gift Card. Such personal details should be verifiable personal information that Big C can use to identify each individual user, in order to comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism and proliferation of weapon of mass destruction financing lawsas well as for the benefit of each user to mitigate fraud or identity theft in cases where cards are misplaced, lost, stolen or receive a change of ownership.
- 3.1 Users that purchase Big C Gift Cards must register their personal details for identification purposes prior to using their Big C Gift Card; Users must provide Big C with their personal details that may be used to verify users’ legal identity and profile; such information should be provided to Big C at any customer service point where Big C Gift cards are sold. Users agree and accept that if Users’ registration process is incomplete, or if insufficient personal information is provided to Big C, failing Big C’s registration requirements, Big C reserves the right to suspend the sale and the provision of services relating to Big C Gift Card until all information, personal or otherwise, is provided to Big C. Required information or documents are listed here below:
- 3.1.1 Name

- 3.1.4 Laser ID on the back of your National ID card
- 3.1.5 Home Address
- 3.1.6 Profession
- 3.1.7 Place of Work
- 3.1.8 Email
- 3.1.9 Mobile no. ( in use )
- 3.1.10 Your Signature
- 3.1.11 Photo ID ( same as displayed on your National ID)
- **And any other information as determined or to be further announced by Big C.
- 3.2 If any customer or person intends to purchase a Big C Gift Card or cards on behalf of another person or as a form of present, the purchasing party must inform the intended recepient ( the future Big C Gift Card owner ) of Big C Gift Card registration requirements, including the need for any new Big C Gift Card owner to register their personal information with Big C and to register their ownership of a Big C Gift Card. Once the registration process has been completed, Big C shall only regard the registered owner as the sole legal owner of the newly activated and usable Big C Gift Card. If the registration process is incomplete or is yet to be initiated, Big C will always defer to the original buyer of the Big C Gift Card (“purchasing party”) as the legal owner of the product
- 3.3 If Users have received any Big C Gift Card or cards from other sources or from other people, Users may register their ownership by bringing their Gift Card to Big C to use or activate it for the first time at any Big C Hypermarket cashier or Mini Big C cashier, or at any Pure Pharmacy cashier, by presenting their official government issued ID to Big C staff and following the registration steps stipulated by Big C.
- 3.4 Users agree to make all efforts to retain their Big C Gift Card and not to disclose any personal information related to or found on their card, nonetheless Users understand and accept that for any transactions made and recorded on each of their individual Gift Cards, Big C shall view these transactions as being conducted by the duly registered Gift Card owner, or the rightful user of each Gift Card. In any circumstances, Big C shall not be held responsible for any damage arising out of any use of the said Big C Gift Card.
- 3.5 In cases where Users have successfully completed their transaction or transactions on their Gift Cards, Users agree to forfeit their ability and their right to reverse, nullify or change said transactions, in any form including but not limited to, returns or voids, and agree to be bound by such terms for every transaction.
- 3.6 Users are allowed to use their Big C Gift Cards as payment for an assortment of Big C merchandise, services and fees – the scope of which Big C has pre-determined and may expand in the future to better improve our service. Users can use Big C Gift Card as payment at any Big C Hypermarket, Market, Mini Big C or Pure Pharmacy store, up to the value of THB money stored in each user’s card.
- 3.7 Big C Gift Cards may not be used as payment for the following items: other Big C Gift Cards; Mobile phone Cards, any electronic cash card, bill payment, alcoholic products, tobacco products, or at Big C Food Courts, and at tenant businesses and shops located around Big C Town center or Big C owned plaza areas. Big C reserves the right to impose further exceptions on other products in the future, ensuring that customers shall be notified of such exceptions and limitations at all customer service points where Big C Gift Cards are sold.
- 3.8 Users agree to pay all required service fees for using Big C Gift Card services as per the rates determined and implemented by Big C. Users may find out more about our rates via our website link (www.bigc.co.th/bigcgiftcard ). Big C reserves the right to change the rates for our service fees or any other related fees, ensuring that we inform Users in advance.
- 3.9 Users understand and agree that the Big C Gift Card is a service provided by Big C to facilitate payment of products and services only, thus if any problems or issues are found in relation to the product or services intended for purchase, or if any other issues arise that is related to the specific product or service, users are advised to contact the designated seller of said product / service themselves; in merely providing payment services for our users, users must agree that Big C is not aware of the individual terms and conditions of each service or product on offer, and cannot be made legally accountable if such terms and conditions are not upheld by the service provider or supplier. Thus if any aforementioned issues arise relating directly to violations of terms and conditions on the part of the service provider or defective issues on the part of the product, users must bear full legal responsibility in taking proceedings, legal or otherwise, against the service provider to rectify users’ own damages– while Big C shall remain a neutral third party in such cases.
- 3.10 Big C reserves the right to refuse processing payment for the following cases, listed out below
- 3.10.1 Transactions for any products or services on behalf of juristic person
- 3.10.2 Transactions for any products or services that are expressly prohibited by laws or are contrary to good morals
- 3.10.3 Transactions for products and services that exceed the Thai Baht amount determined by Big C
- 3.10.4 Any use of services which Big C regards as highly suspicious or likely to involve in illegal practices in accordance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism and proliferation of weapon of mass destruction financing and/or any other relevant laws.
- 3.11 Big C strives to provide the best service possible to all Users in order to maximize customer experience; notwithstanding, if Big C’s service level appears to be less than satisfactory, whether due to technical issues, network connection problems or any other system issues related to the provision of Big C Gift Card services, including magnetic card reader systems, or any other system issues, Users agree that such issues shall not constitute due cause to demand any compensation or expenses from Big C.
- 3.12 Big C shall not be legally responsible for any loss and/or damage, whether directly or indirectly, resulting from the provision of services related to Big C Gift Card.
- 3.13 Big C shall charge service fees not exceeding 20THB per month – such fees being deducted from remaining stored value from users Gift Card account - in cases where Users’ Gift Card accounts become “inactive” and display no transactional activity ( with “inactive” being defined by the absence of any user engagement or activity, for a period of at least two years or over.) Big C reserves the right to act according its own internal policies and regulations, including the right to suspend or void the provision of Gift Card services, as per the terms and conditions set forth in these T&C.
- 3.14 In cases where Big C deems there to be suspicious activity relating to Users’ Big C Gift Card transactions, Big C reserves the right to temporarily suspend the provision of services in order to conduct thorough investigations; if Big C’s investigations lead us to conclude that any use of Big C Gift Card by Users has been engaged in bill payment or other form of business activities which are determined by Big C as suspicious or juristic person activities, Big C reserves the right to suspend and/or terminate the provision of services. Users accept and agree that Big C shall be in no way liable to any damage arising out of such cases.
- 3.15 Users agree to cooperate with Big C in ensuring compliance with the laws whether these be existing laws that are currently in effect, or future laws that may be later enacted.
- 3.16 Users agree that Big C reserves the right to unilaterally enact changes to criteria on approval of Big C Gift Card’s application without giving prior reason to the User.
- 3.17 Big C shall not be held legally responsible for any loss of stored value of money from Users’ Big C Gift Card arising out of any loss, theft, deceit or any cause in connection with Users’ willful misconduct, negligence or any other causes which are not attributable to Big C’s fault.
- 3.18 Users may make further inquiries regarding Big C’s Gift Card and all related matters, or raise concerns, complaints or request support, via our call center 1756, which will be open daily from 8am – 10pm
- 4.1 Users shall be allowed to top-up value of money into their Big C Gift Card according to the permitted amounts of 100, 200, 300, 500, 1,000, 2,000 and 5,000 THB at all designated payment points at Big C Hypermarket, Market, Mini Big C, as well as Pure Pharmacy stores.
- 4.2 Users shall be permitted to have maximum limit of stored value in Big C Gift Card in the amount 30,000 THB per card
- 4.3 Users must present their government issued National ID card, along with their Big C Gift Card, each and every time when requesting to top-up value into their Big C Gift Card.
- 4.4 Users will be able to check the remaining balance of stored value in their Big C Gift Cards by inspecting the information displayed on their receipt or by inquiring at any customer service point found at any Big C store. In any circumstances, Users shall not be permitted to cancel the top-up value transaction into their Big C Gift Card
- 4.5 Users’ remaining balance of stored value may not be refunded or converted into cash.
- 4.6 By top-up value into your Big C Gift Card, Users must acknowledge that this action shall have no effect on the collecting Big Card points.
Big C Gift Cards have an expiry date of 5 years, counting from the date of card activation. (except for cards that are activated before May 2, 2021, the card will be valid for 3 years) Users may check the expiry date on their cards by taking note of the information displayed on users receipts, or by asking Big C staff at any designated customer service point, at any Big C store, or by calling our call center 1756
It is not permitted to transfer stored value and information from one Big C Gift Card to another unless in cases where Users’ cards have expired or have been broken due to quality of card issues, such as the card’s magnetic components. In such aforementioned cases where transfer of stored value is possible, any card receiving stored value and information must belong to the same legal owner as the card transferring such stored value. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any transfer of stored value and information shall be subject to Big C’s sole discretion.
Users may request to suspend their card at any designated customer service point, at any Big C store, or by calling Big C Call Center 1756. Users requesting suspension must be able to identify themselves as the rightful owner of their card by matching the information provided to Big C upon user registration, or by proving that the user was responsible for the latest top-up or use of Big C Gift Card transactions in order to prevent the card from being further used by any person. Criteria and procedure shall be subject to Big C’s discretion.
- 8.1 If Users wish to terminate their Big C Gift Card account, Users shall not be entitled to refund or transfer any remaining stored value in the Big C Gift Card account to any other person in any case whatsoever.
- 8.2 Big C reserves the right to permanently or temporarily suspend or terminate Users’ Big C Gift Card account without giving a prior notice, in the following cases:
- 8.2.1 Users’ presentation of false evidencing documents or false statements relating to his/her identity at point of registration including to provide incomplete statements or incomplete evidencing documents as required by Big C until such statements or documents are satisfied by Big C.
- 8.2.2 User is considered a “person of interest” by government agencies or law enforcement officials, or if the user has had his or her assets frozen or confiscated by related government agencies, or if the user is suspected of criminal activity or is involved in any pending legal cases.
- 8.2.3 Big C suspects that Users have committed or attempted to commit any activity which is prohibited by laws or activity which might result in any damage to Big C or any other person.
- 9.1 Users represent and warrant that they each represent the rightful owners of their registered Big C Gift Cards and shall be activating such cards to use a payment service to purchase Big C merchandise and /or services, at any eligible Big C store and legally permit Big C to deduct funds from their Big C Gift Card accounts, in order to pay for merchandise and / or services, for service fees or any other owed sums payable to Big C, relating to this service.
- 9.2 Users agree to keep their sales slip as evidence of payment each time a transaction is made using their Big C Gift Card ( to purchase merchandise or pay for services / fees ) in order to verify the User’s ownership of the card, in cases where the Users wish to return merchandise or items when using Big C Gift Cards.
- 9.3 Users acknowledge that Big C shall not be held legally responsible or liable to any damages in cases where Big C Gift Cards have been broken or bent due to Users’ own negligence, resulting in the card’s lack of usability.
- 9.4 Users acknowledge that Big C reserves the right to refuse activating Users’ cards, or to suspend or terminate services as Big C deems appropriate without giving any reason in prior.
Big C reserves the right to change, edit, or update any of the stated Terms and Conditions without giving a prior notice, unless such changes have a negative effect on Users’ rights and privileges – for which Big C will make efforts to inform all Users in writing via our website (www.bigc.co.th/bigcgiftcard) no less than 30 days before implementing such changes.
Big C Supercenter Public Company Limited (the “Company”), as the personal data controller, collects, uses and retains your data in order to provide Big C Gift Card Services and comply with the terms and conditions of the Big C Gift Card services (“Big C Gift Card Services”) as detailed in Clause 1 below. As your data is personal data protected under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (the “ Act ”), in order to process such personal data in accordance with the requirements of the Act, the Company has prepared this document to allow you to acknowledge and understand your rights under the law, including the Company’s reason for collection, use and /or disclosure of your personal data. Please thoroughly read and understand the details for the benefit of exercising your rights.
- 1. Categories of Personal Data, Period of Retention and Purpose of Collecting and Using Such Personal Data by the Company
In order for you to get the most benefits from Big C Gift Card Services and to allow the Company to efficiently provide Big C Gift Card Services to you, the Company collects, uses and retains your personal data as follows:

- 1. To verify and identify the customer and provide Big C Gift Card Services to the customer.
- 2. To be information for the inspection of the relevant government agencies and to comply with other laws of the Company.
- 3. To ensure the safety of using the Big C Gift Card Services and to monitor and prevent fraud and crime or misuse of the Big C Gift Card Services.

To comply with the law of the Company and necessary for the performance of agreements’ obligations and for legitimate interests of the Company.

The right of the personal data owner
The personal data owner is protected under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 as follows:
1. The right to revoke the consent
